Serhiy Koretsky held the first meeting of the new Cabinet of Ministers and identified key priorities

Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky held the first meeting of the new Cabinet of Ministers. Priority priorities have been identified. Rubrika writes about this, referring to the Government portal. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

“I thank all ministers for their readiness for intensive work. For each member of the Government, the main criteria will be efficiency, responsibility and results”, Serhiy Koretsky emphasized.

According to him, the Government will work on fulfilling the tasks set by the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada.

Recall that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Serhiy Koretsky as the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The corresponding decision was supported by 289 people’s deputies at the plenary session on July 16, 2026.

During his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Serhiy Koretsky outlined the key priorities of the new Government. Among them:

providing the Defense Forces and developing the defense-industrial complex,

preparation for the heating season,

support for Ukrainians and front-line communities,

business development,

effective attraction of international assistance,

continuation of Ukraine’s European integration.

“Everything this Government will do will be based on one unit of measurement: whether it helps those who are fighting and those for whom we are fighting,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted.

He emphasized that the work of the Cabinet of Ministers will be based on the principles of:

responsibility,

professionalism,

efficiency and openness.

The new Government should become a Government of Defense, a Government of Economic Development and a Government of European Integration.

As a reminder, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada appointed ministers to the government of Serhiy Koretsky. Some of the ministers are new, some of the ministers were reappointed. Two positions remain vacant, which will be voted on separately.
