Ministry of Defence of Ukraine begins testing online deferment for teachers in Reserve+ app

Beta testing for online draft deferment has launched in the Reserve+ mobile application for teachers and educational staff of secondary schools. The digital service will allow users to receive deferment status without visiting military enlistment offices or gathering paper documents. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

School teachers and pedagogical staff working at least 0.75 of a full-time position at their primary workplace are eligible to participate in the beta test. An essential requirement is having no active deferment at the time of application.

To receive the status, users only need to submit a request within the mobile application. The system will then automatically verify the existence and accuracy of records across state databases.

Data verification through educational management registry

Verification will be conducted primarily through the Automated Information Complex of Educational Management (AICEM). Educators are advised to confirm the accuracy and timeliness of their data with school administrators.

Once eligibility is confirmed, the deferment is granted automatically and immediately appears in the electronic military registration document. This eliminates the need to visit administrative service centres or wait for commission reviews.

Expanding categories for online processing

Currently, online deferment through the app is already operational for scientific, academic, and teaching staff of higher, vocational pre-tertiary, and professional education institutions. Following the test phase, it will become fully accessible to school teachers.

Earlier, the government also regulated the procedure for renewing deferments, ensuring that applying under a new legal ground does not invalidate an existing deferment.
