Six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturers have been given the opportunity to participate in testing in the US under the Pentagon's Drone Dominance program. The companies will deliver test batches of their equipment to the American side for verification.
This was reported by Delo.ua citing Reuters, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Permission to export approximately 100 UAVs to each of the enterprises was granted by the Ukrainian side. The unmanned aerial vehicles are required to undergo testing under the American program.
In August, domestic developers also received invitations to the Gauntlet II trials taking place in Colorado. Participants in the process plan to establish joint ventures with American partners to fulfill future orders.
Manufacturers are forming joint ventures with American companies for further cooperation.
As noted by Defense Innovation Unit representative Travis Metz, cooperation is a key condition for future contracts. The growing interest in Ukrainian unmanned systems is accompanied by heightened foreign economic activity in the defense sector.
In July, the state introduced a simplified Fast Track procedure, which allows for accelerated export of certain categories of military goods to partner nations. Such steps are carried out within the framework of Drone Deal agreements with interested countries.
