The US Army is seeking contractors to supply scarce components for M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley fighting vehicles being transferred as military aid to Ukraine. US Army Contracting Command at the Detroit Arsenal is conducting a market research to identify potential manufacturers. This was reported by "militarnyi", according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The US defense agency is examining the technical capabilities of enterprises capable of supplying obsolete or discontinued parts. Potential contractors must have immediate access to such components or develop a realistic plan for their restoration.
Repair and supply chain management
The list of scarce items includes turret and transmission control units, heater mounts, ammunition chutes, and specialized M2A2 ODS-SA subsystems. In addition to component supply, future contractors are required to perform technical validation of the vehicles and manage logistics.
Training of Ukrainian mechanics
A separate requirement is the development of training programs and materials for preparing Ukrainian military specialists. The contractor must provide the necessary equipment and tools for armored vehicle maintenance.
Future contract procedures
The current market survey is not an official tender and does not guarantee the automatic signing of contracts. Companies must provide detailed transition plans and specify delivery times for the first restored vehicles.
