Throughout August, Russian forces used ships carrying cruise missiles only once to shell Ukraine, which occurred on the night of August 20. In July, three such attacks were recorded. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

During the previous month, the invaders resorted to such strikes three times. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk during a telethon.

He drew attention to the fact that enemy vessels currently do not enter open waters. Ammunition launches are carried out directly from the harbor area.

Following the destruction of two frigates, Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov, the Russian Black Sea Fleet retains five carrier units. Specifically, this includes three surface ships and two submarines.
