The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine does not require women to provide military registration documents or data from the Rezerv+ app when exiting the country. Border guards emphasize that passport stamps regarding border crossing are placed exclusively upon the traveler's personal request.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Марія Кучерявець) citing Andrii Demchenko, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
State Border Guard Service of Ukraine spokesperson Andrii Demchenko noted that exit restrictions during martial law apply only to military-liable men. No additional document or app checks have been introduced for women at checkpoints.
The agency also stressed that it does not verify citizens’ fulfillment of military obligations at the request of foreign states. The military registry falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Features of recording border crossings
Ukrainian legislation does not provide for automatic stamping of foreign passports. A stamp is applied only after a citizen requests it from an inspector directly during the control process.
If a stamp is missing—which might be needed to apply for temporary protection in EU countries—travelers can obtain an official certificate. To do this, one must submit a request to the SBGS administration using a special form available on the agency’s website.
Situation at checkpoints
In recent days, border infrastructure in the Odesa region has come under enemy attack. Specifically, the Tabaky checkpoint sustained damage from an attack drone strike, though there were no casualties among personnel or civilians.
Currently, passenger traffic remains high, exceeding 150,000 people per day on weekends. By September 1, border guards anticipate an increase in the number of people returning to Ukraine, particularly due to the start of the school year.
