Ukrainian military struck an airbase in occupied Crimea, destroying a Russian aircraft and ground support vehicles. Enemy losses were confirmed following the attack on 20 August 2026.
This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces successfully struck the infrastructure of the Saky military airfield, located near the settlement of Novofedorivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
As a result of the operation carried out on 20 August 2026, Russian forces lost an Su-24M bomber.
Losses of ground support equipment
In addition to the combat aircraft, four units of airfield support equipment were destroyed at the hostile military facility.
The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue systematic strikes against key assets of the occupying forces.
