Government Approves Unified Service Housing Warrant Form for Military Personnel

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced a unified standard service housing warrant for military personnel and limited its validity to 30 days. The updated regulations also establish strict sanitary accommodation standards and length-of-service requirements for permanent housing. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The standard warrant form now includes fixed fields specifying family composition, exact address, living area, and the legal grounds for issuance. The document remains valid for 30 days, obliging service members to complete their actual move-in within the specified timeframe.

The decision to grant service housing is made by the military unit commander in coordination with housing maintenance bodies. Following this approval, local self-government authorities or designated state bodies issue the warrant itself. Separate approval procedures apply to the State Special Transport Service, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the State Service of Special Communications.

Updated regulations establish strict accommodation standards for military personnel

The government resolution prohibits accommodating persons of different genders over the age of 9 in the same room, unless they are spouses. Furthermore, placing two or more separate families or unrelated individuals in housing designed for a single family is not allowed.

The procedure also guarantees separate rooms for individuals suffering from severe chronic illnesses according to a list established by the Ministry of Health. This measure ensures proper sanitary and living conditions for military families.

Clarifications introduced for service duration calculation and record storage

The regulatory document specifically clarifies the criteria for receiving permanent housing. Service members become eligible for permanent accommodation strictly upon reaching 20 or more calendar years of military service.

The resolution also updates the list of institutions and organisations responsible for retaining military housing record files after individuals receive permanent housing.
