The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated 5.14 billion hryvnias for compensation for housing destroyed by the enemy under the eRecovery program. The funding will allow more than 3,600 families who have received housing certificates to purchase new homes. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The funds for the payments were provided under the HOME project, which is implemented by the Council of Europe Development Bank. As Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi noted, providing housing for citizens who suffered from russian aggression remains a priority task for the state.
Scale of the compensation program implementation
Throughout the duration of the eRecovery program, more than 88,000 Ukrainian families have already received housing certificates. The total amount of certificates issued stands at 112.6 billion hryvnias.
To date, more than 33,000 families have already utilized the assistance received and purchased new real estate. Despite this, about 55,000 citizens are still waiting for the funding of their certificates.
