Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration Serhiy Boyev met with a delegation from the global parliamentary network United for Ukraine. The parties discussed the primary needs of the Defence Forces and attracting investment into domestic defence production. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, based on data from Serhiy Boyev.
The foreign delegation was led by Žygimantas Pavilionis, Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. During the talks, the Ukrainian side informed partners about the security situation and key threats during the fifth year of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
European representatives confirmed that continued military support for Ukraine remains an unconditional priority for Europe. The parties outlined key areas requiring urgent funding to deter aggressor attacks and strengthen front-line positions.
Defence Forces Require Air Defence and Ammunition
Among the top priorities for the Ukrainian military are strengthening air defence systems, supplying long-range artillery ammunition, and developing domestic missiles and drones.
A separate topic focused on financing the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex during 2026–2027. Ukraine aims to expand support for drone manufacturers, particularly through the Ukraine Support Loan mechanism.
Integration into the European Arms Market
Meeting participants reviewed prospects for integrating Ukrainian defence enterprises into the European market. Discussions covered joint manufacturing, participation in the Build with Ukraine programme, and the implementation of the Drone Deal initiative.
Ukrainian officials stressed their readiness to share combat experience, technological solutions, and modern warfare data with partners to enhance overall European defence capabilities.
