By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Lyubov Galan and Serhiy Boyev have been appointed as Deputy Ministers of Defense. This was, reported by ArmyINFORM, reported by the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Taras Melnychuk, on the evening of July 29. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
According to him, Lyubov Galan has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defense, and Serhiy Boyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration.
“We are forming a team capable of quickly transforming the needs of the Defense Forces into specific solutions.
Today, the Government has appointed two Deputy Ministers of Defense of Ukraine. This is a strengthening in key areas: international support and human capital,” said the Acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Yevheniy Khmara.
According to him, Serhiy Boev will be responsible for the international direction as Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration.
His task is to translate agreements with partners into solutions for the Defense Forces: financing, supplies, joint projects, development of the Ukrainian defense industry and long-term support programs.
“Serhiy’s expertise and experience will undoubtedly strengthen our cooperation with the EU, NATO and other states, help attract more security assistance and build partnerships that work over the long term,” Yevheniy Khmara assured.
Lyubov Galan will be responsible for the development and preservation of the human capital of the Defense Forces.
Her focus will be on effective recruitment, clear career growth, social protection of servicemen and their families, high-quality training of personnel, health care, as well as rules that clearly define the rights and obligations of the military and protect them from arbitrariness.
“Lyubov is a human rights activist who co-founded and headed the Human Rights Center for Military Personnel “Principle”. Her experience is important for the systemic changes that the military must experience.
Our goal is to make the Ministry’s system faster and closer to the needs of the Defense Forces,” Yevgeny Khmara noted.
