Six regions face new power outages following Russian attacks
Electricity consumption in Ukraine is demonstrating a downward trend. As of 09:30 AM on August 27, consumption was 4.7% lower than at the same time on the previous day. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.
Cool and sunny weather across most Ukrainian regions has been the main factor reducing grid load. As a result, residents are using air conditioners less frequently, while domestic solar power plants are operating at high efficiency.
At the same time, on August 26, the evening peak consumption was 1.4% higher than the maximum recorded on August 25. Energy officials advise shifting heavy electricity usage to the hours between 11:00 AM and 03:00 PM, during peak generation from commercial solar facilities. Citizens are also urged not to run several power-intensive appliances simultaneously from 06:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Blackouts caused by Russian strikes
New grid damage and power cuts affecting consumers were reported in six regions on the morning of August 27 following Russian attacks. Parts of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Odesa regions remain without electricity.
Emergency repair crews are currently working in all affected areas where security conditions allow. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore damaged equipment swiftly and advise citizens to monitor updates from local distribution network operators.
