The transmission system operator urged consumers to use energy sparingly during evening hours
On Friday, August 28, Ukraine is not expected to implement power outage schedules. The National Energy Company Ukrenergo has announced that there will be no planned restrictions on this date. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Ukrenergo, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the official announcement from the energy company, consumers should not expect any load reduction measures throughout the next 24 hours. Despite the complex situation within the energy system, current resources are sufficient to meet demand.
The company highlights the need for the rational use of energy resources to ensure network stability. It is recommended that energy-intensive household appliances be used during the 10:00 to 16:00 window, when consumption is less intense.
At the same time, consumers are requested to limit the use of high-power appliances during the evening peak period from 18:00 to 22:00. This practice helps reduce the load on critical infrastructure facilities, which are currently operating under high-risk conditions due to Russian attacks.
As of the morning of August 27, the energy system remains vulnerable due to damage to civilian facilities resulting from enemy shelling. Power outages were recorded in six regions of Ukraine, necessitating emergency repair work.
