The parliament is preparing 17 anti-corruption and financial projects to support the budget
In September and October, the Verkhovna Rada will focus on passing legislation required to fulfill international obligations and pursue European integration. These initiatives are essential for securing financial assistance under EU and IMF programs. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Verkhovna Rada, based on data from Yevheniia Kravchuk.
According to Yevheniia Kravchuk, a member of the Servant of the People faction, the upcoming plenary sessions will address issues critical to maintaining the state’s macro-financial stability. Specifically, approximately 70% of the agenda will consist of acts marked by the Ukraine Facility plan and IMF programs.
Priority legislative initiatives
The parliament expects the government to submit 17 draft laws corresponding to the Duck-Kos memorandum. Priority topics include the anti-corruption strategy, taxation of international parcels, and the implementation of the SEPA banking transfer system to integrate into the European financial space.
The MP emphasized that legislative activity directly impacts the state budget. Each of these bills will also be considered during the opening of new negotiation clusters regarding Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
The fight for support in the EU
A separate area of work will be countering disinformation campaigns deployed against Ukraine in EU member states. As the parliamentarian noted, hostile networks are adapting propaganda into the languages of countries facing significant electoral processes in 2027, notably France, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
To improve external communication, the Verkhovna Rada’s temporary special commission has already held a joint meeting with representatives of the National Security and Defense Council and an interagency coordination group. The goal of this cooperation is to strengthen support for Ukrainian European integration aspirations among European societies, whose sentiments influence the decisions of local political elites.
