Enemy unmanned aerial vehicles recorded in the airspace of the capital
An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv around 20:00 due to the threat of strike drones. Explosions rang out in the city amid the operation of air defense forces. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Олена Бджола) citing Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The air raid siren sounded in the capital in the evening due to the threat of strike drones launched by Russia. Local residents heard explosion sounds caused by the combat work of defenders of the Ukrainian sky.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to stay in shelters until the official cancellation of the danger. The leadership of the city military administration also emphasized the necessity of following safety rules due to enemy UAVs.
Attack from the southern direction
The military recorded the movement of enemy jet-powered drones toward the central region from the southern side. Defense forces continue to repel the air attack and destroy enemy aerial targets.
Earlier, specialized services warned about possible smoke and deterioration of air quality in the city due to a fire in the Bucha district of the region. However, the mass drone attack remains the main reason for the alert.
