The hostile agency threatens to expand attacks on civilian critical infrastructure
The Ministry of Defence of the RF has officially announced intentions to launch massive strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The aggressor is attempting to justify its actions as a supposed response to strikes on civilian targets within the territory of the RF. This was reported by Economichna Pravda citing the Telegram channel of TASS, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
In their statement, representatives of the RF defence agency noted that preparations for new attacks are already underway. The Russian side uses this rhetoric as a formal justification for further destruction of facilities that support the livelihoods of Ukrainian consumers.
Status of energy infrastructure
It is worth noting that prolonged enemy shelling has already led to significant losses in Ukraine’s logistics sector. In particular, as of today, approximately 90% of all modern commodity storage facilities within the state have been destroyed as a result of targeted strikes.
Despite the difficult conditions, measures are being taken in the energy sector to stabilize the situation. Ukraine has already accumulated the necessary volumes of natural gas reserves, which will allow the country to get through the winter period according to the base-case scenario for energy consumption.
