AFU restore control over territories in Kharkiv region

Units of the 23rd R.U.G. Regiment liberated 4 square kilometers in Kupiansk district

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have advanced in the Kharkiv region, regaining control over several sections of terrain near the settlements of Dvorichna and Zapadne. The total area of liberated territory during the operation amounted to 4 square kilometers. This was reported by Glavcom citing the Telegram channel of 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine 'Khartia', according to the portal PromPolitInform.

Combat operations in the Kupiansk direction continue with high intensity. Efforts to restore control over the positions were carried out by soldiers of the 23rd Separate Assault Regiment of the R.U.G., which is part of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Khartia’.

The servicemen successfully cleared forest areas and pushed the occupation forces out of established strongholds. The operations were conducted, in particular, to the west and southwest of Dvorichna, as well as in the northern part of the village of Zapadne.

Combat successes and site clearing

In addition to the forces of the 23rd Regiment, units of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade participated in certain operations in this sector. Through joint efforts, the military consolidated their hold on new lines, significantly improving the tactical position of the Ukrainian defenders at the front.

Analysts confirmed the update of the combat map, where the return of control over a number of forest areas was recorded. The total area of the liberated zone reached 4 square kilometers, representing another stage of active operations in the Kupiansk region.

Situation in the Kupiansk direction

The area near Dvorichna and Zapadne remains one of the most tense segments of the eastern front. The current advance is a continuation of a series of measures implemented over the past weeks to displace Russian invaders from previously occupied territories.

The military command emphasizes the importance of stabilizing the situation in this zone, where the enemy had repeatedly attempted to organize defenses in the forest belt. Active operations of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are continuing in accordance with operational plans for the de-occupation of the region.
