A UAV strike caused a fire at an educational facility in the capital
Debris from a Russian drone fell on an educational institution in Kyiv's Obonlon district, causing a roof fire. Meanwhile, a separate strike hit a residential building in Zaporizhzhia, injuring two people. This was reported by Glavcom citing Kyiv City Military Administration, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The fire engulfed the roof of the educational facility during another air raid launched by the adversary. An air raid alert was active in the city at the time due to the threat of attack drones.
Relevant emergency services and rescue teams were dispatched to the impact site. Information regarding casualties in the capital and the extent of the damage to the school building has not yet been officially released.
Strike on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia
In addition to the capital, Russian forces launched an attack on a residential area in Zaporizhzhia. According to Mykhailo Semikin, Acting Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, the strike caused a fire in an apartment building.
Medics hospitalized a 63-year-old man in severe condition, while a 37-year-old woman received medical assistance on site. Rescue workers also evacuated three residents from the ninth floor of the damaged building.
Emergency crews continue working at the site of the strike in Zaporizhzhia. According to available reports, other people might remain trapped on different floors of the building.
