Military representatives from 32 Alliance states are discussing AFU needs for the frontline
A delegation of the NATO Military Committee led by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone has arrived in Kyiv for an official visit. Military representatives from 32 member states held talks with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield situation and further support for Ukraine. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The current visit is the first official trip of the NATO Military Committee to the Ukrainian capital in eight years. According to Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, this move fulfills a commitment he made during his last conversation with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi in August 2026.
Strengthening the Alliance partnership
The committee chair noted that this visit follows the arrival of the North Atlantic Council, which visited Kyiv in June. The presence of representatives from 32 Alliance nations is intended to demonstrate the deepening ties between NATO and Ukraine amidst ongoing Russian aggression.
The delegation members focused on receiving the latest updates on the operational situation at the front. The primary objective of the meetings with the General Staff leadership is to identify additional ways to assist the Ukrainian defence forces.
Responding to Russia’s hybrid threats
Giuseppe Cavo Dragone stressed that no attempts by Russia to pressure NATO countries through cyberattacks, sabotage, or violations of sovereign airspace will undermine the support for Ukraine. He stated that the Alliance considers such actions to be unacceptable behavior, for which Moscow bears full responsibility.
“NATO’s support for Ukraine continues to grow, and our unity is stronger than ever,” the Military Committee chair declared. In addition to the negotiations, the delegates honored the memory of all Ukrainian soldiers who have been killed or wounded while defending the state’s territorial integrity.
