Ukraine and NATO agreed on key priorities for cooperation — strengthening air defense, development of Patriot, F-16 and HIMARS, as well as joint work on technological advantage. This, writes ArmyINFORM, was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov and NATO Senior Representative in Ukraine Patrick Turner and Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard – Commander of the NATO Special Mission for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine and Commander of the Security Assistance Group for Ukraine (NSATU/SAG-U. Mykhailo Fedorov thanked the Alliance for the effective coordination of assistance, in particular within the framework of the PURL initiative, and stressed: the main focus now is the protection of the sky.

Separately, the parties discussed the coordination of the Ramstein format – for faster decisions and supplies.

The NATO Mission in Ukraine reported that during the meeting they discussed how vital and urgent NATO assistance, in particular within the framework of the PURL initiative, can be provided most effectively, with a special emphasis on critically important air defense ammunition.

Ukraine’s readiness for deeper cooperation with NATO and working together on transformation in key areas of capability development.

“This is a mutually beneficial partnership in support of our shared security. NATO countries will gain broader access to unique real-world battlefield data, technologies and processes — experience that can be applied to building a new generation of armed forces,” the statement said.

As reported, the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, assured that support for Ukraine is the number one priority for the Alliance.
