During January–September 2026, machine builders of DTEK Energo manufactured 1.5 million spare parts and components for Ukrainian coal enterprises. In addition, the plants produced 10 new heading and shearer machines along with four electric motors to ensure coal production during the heating season. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from DTEK Energo.

Ukrainian coal enterprises are preparing for the most challenging period of the year amid intensified operations by manufacturing plants. The factories are supplying the necessary equipment for coal extraction ahead of the upcoming heating season.

Volumes of manufactured and repaired equipment

According to the results for January–September 2026, the manufacturers produced and repaired over 1,200 units of mining equipment. This total includes new heading and shearer machines, as well as electric motors.

Coordination of the energy team efforts

“Winter preparation is a joint effort of the entire energy team,” stated DTEK Energo Chief Executive Officer Oleksandr Fomenko.

According to the company head, miners, power engineers, repair personnel, and machine builders operate as a single coordinated mechanism. The overall readiness of domestic energy infrastructure depends on the reliability of each link.

Testing technical solutions in real conditions

Industry enterprises not only manufacture and restore equipment but also test new engineering solutions. The performance verification takes place directly in actual production conditions at the mines.

The management emphasizes the high cost of stability during the winter period. All workers are making maximum efforts to support reliable generation despite ongoing challenges.
