The official will head the ministry's apparatus and drive institutional reforms
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Zoryana Stetsiuk as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. In this role, she will lead the ministry's administrative apparatus. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The newly appointed head of the apparatus will be responsible for the efficient operation and institutional development of the defence ministry. Her key duties will include upgrading management processes, coordinating structural units, and ensuring the uninterrupted performance of the ministry.
Professional background and career
Zoryana Stetsiuk has over ten years of experience in the civil service. Prior to this appointment, she served as a director of a directorate within the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, focusing on digital transformation, internal reforms, and building new institutional capacities.
Before joining the defence sector, she worked at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Specifically, she led the public services re-engineering directorate and served as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation from July 2025.
