On Monday, October 12, hourly power outages for all consumer categories and power restrictions for industry and business will be introduced in parts of Ukraine. These measures will be in effect throughout the day—from 06:00 to 23:59. According to the PromPolitInform portal, Ukrenergo announced this information.
According to the company, the following restrictions will apply in specific regions on October 12:
From 06:00 to 23:59: power restriction schedules for industry and business.
From 06:00 to 23:59: hourly outage schedules for all consumer categories, ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 “queues” (load-shedding groups).
The restrictions were necessitated by the aftermath of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure.
Ukrenergo warned that the situation within the power grid could change due to Russian shelling. Therefore, consumers are advised to monitor announcements and outage schedules on the official pages of their regional distribution system operators (oblenergos).
The company also urged consumers to use electricity sparingly during periods when power supply is restored according to the schedule.
