The domestic software enabled integration of diverse systems during multinational maritime operations
Ukrainian military personnel practiced using the DELTA combat system during the international REPMUS 2026 exercises. Specialists successfully integrated unmanned aerial vehicles, radars, and other assets into the platform using NATO data standards. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
This year’s Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems exercises were led by the Portuguese Navy. Ukraine participated in this major international event for the third time, showcasing its indigenous technological solutions.
Integration and NATO interoperability
During REPMUS 2026, Ukrainian specialists utilized the system to execute a range of tasks. These included reconnaissance, maritime monitoring, maneuvering, as well as target engagement simulation and tracking exercises.
A key milestone was the platform’s successful integration with all assets transmitting telemetry according to the STANAG 4817 standard. This achievement confirmed the high level of interoperability between Ukrainian software and the combat systems of NATO member nations.
Combat experience and technological advantages
Members of the Ukrainian team highlighted the system’s reliable performance under unstable connectivity conditions, which is critical for maritime operations. Additionally, they praised the ease of streaming via the built-in Vezha module compared to other platforms.
Beyond testing technologies, the Ukrainian team shared practical combat experience regarding the use of unmanned systems in the maritime domain with their partners. Notably, the DELTA system currently tracks and processes data on over 6,600 enemy targets daily on the front lines.
