During the Transport Innovative Forum 2026 held in Vilnius, the Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Minister Ihor Reva agreed on a series of steps to modernize Ukraine’s transport system. The main focus during the working meetings was on the digitalisation of supply chains, adaptation to European norms, and attracting private capital to the infrastructure restoration sector.
Cooperation with Türkiye
During negotiations at the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius, Ihor Reva discussed energy stability for Ukrainian settlements with the Turkish delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Durmus Unuvar. The parties explored opportunities for Turkish investors to participate in public-private partnership projects and coordinated joint actions on the international stage.
Signing agreements with Lithuania
A key outcome of the visit to Lithuania was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the respective ministries of both countries. The document provides for the exchange of professional expertise in implementing transport innovations, improving urban mobility, and deploying cutting-edge digital solutions.
Digitalisation of freight transport
Furthermore, Ukrainian representatives signed a memorandum with the Transport Innovation Association, led by Rugile Andziukeviciute-Buze. The agreement aims at the practical implementation of EU Regulation 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information (eFTI) in Ukraine. This move is a vital component of the sector’s digitalisation strategy, aligning Ukrainian logistics standards with pan-European requirements.
While in Vilnius, Ihor Reva also met with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius. The Ukrainian side expressed its gratitude to the Lithuanian government for its consistent support during the wartime period and for assistance in restoring infrastructure facilities.
