About 6,000 residents remain in the temporarily occupied town in the Kherson region
The Ukrainian side is currently working to organise the departure of civilians from the occupied town of Oleshky, Kherson region. According to the Ombudsman, about 6,000 people remain in the town and the surrounding settlements. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Espreso, based on data from Dmytro Lubinets.
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada is actively working to establish safe routes for Ukrainians trapped in the occupied territories. Due to the lack of direct access for state institutions to these areas, each case requires individual assistance, data verification, and complex negotiations with the Russian side.
Priority evacuation routes
Special attention is currently focused on Oleshky and the surrounding villages in the Kherson region. Daily dialogue with the RF is necessary to provide civilians, including many children, with the opportunity to leave the danger zone.
Assistance to vulnerable groups
State support covers not only the elderly and people with limited mobility but also those facing document issues. The Commissioner notes that specialists are seeking ways to resolve difficulties even when the occupation administration opens fabricated criminal cases against citizens.
For evacuation assistance, citizens can call the hotline at 1678 or contact via WhatsApp, Viber, or Telegram at +38 093 406 80 17.
