Zelenskyy Honoured State Border Guard Service Scouts With Awards

Military personnel received state decorations for daily work and intelligence operations

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated State Border Guard Service scouts on their professional holiday and presented them with state awards. The Head of State thanked the military for intercepts, intelligence information, and operations for the sake of victory. This was reported by Glavcom, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

During official events, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised the significant role of every component of Ukraine’s Security and Defence Forces in countering russian aggression. According to him, overall success at the front and the protection of the country depend on the coordinated actions of all military personnel and the timely acquisition of intelligence data.

Significance of Border Intelligence

The professional holiday of the State Border Guard Service scouts of Ukraine was marked on October 20. Specialists in this field identify threats at the borders, analyse enemy intentions, and help disrupt their plans.

The President specifically focused on the importance of intercepts and special operations conducted to ensure the safety of citizens. He expressed gratitude to the personnel for their daily service for the benefit of the country.

Attack on Kyiv

Meanwhile, russian forces launched a missile strike against the capital on the night of October 22, employing three ballistic munitions with cluster warheads. One of them hit the Pecherskyi district near historical sites.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy described this shelling as a demonstrative step by the enemy. The state leadership notes that the choice of weaponry and the location for the strike was fully deliberate on the part of the aggressor.
