Government updates booking rules for defense-industrial complex employees

The booking quota for employees of defense-industrial enterprises now stands at 95 percent

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution updating the rules for booking liable-for-military-service employees at defense-industrial complex enterprises. The new regulations are designed to balance the stable operation of arms manufacturers with the current needs of the Security Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The adopted changes provide for establishing a clear booking quota for defense-industrial complex employees at the level of 95%. The updated mechanism should allow enterprises to retain essential specialists, execute contracts on schedule, and increase weapons production volumes.

Priorities for weapons manufacturers

The ministry emphasizes that deferrals from mobilization must remain with those specialists directly involved in producing weapons and military equipment for the army. The state seeks to provide manufacturers with stable conditions for long-term planning of their production activities.

«Enterprises must be able to plan their work, retain specialists, and scale up production», noted Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara.

Control and transparency of the procedure

At the same time, the updated rules eliminate the possibility of using the booking mechanism for unintended purposes or abuses. Cooperation between state structures and business is built on the principles of transparency and reporting regarding every employee.

«We need both the people defending Ukraine at the front and the specialists supplying them with weapons», added Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara.
