The President of the European Commission and the head of the Eurodiplomacy condemned the Russian massive attack of the Russian Federation.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas condemned the Russian strikes on Ukraine on the night of May 24. They wrote about this in X, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
“Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine last night shows the Kremlin’s brutality and its disregard for both human life and peace negotiations. Terror against civilians is not force. This is despair,” wrote von der Leyen.
She added that soon the EU will provide Ukraine with additional assistance to strengthen air defense.
Kallas also called the attack a terrorist act and explained Moscow’s actions by the fact that her army had come to a standstill at the front. The Oreshnik strike, in her opinion, is intimidation and the risk of nuclear war.
“Next week, EU foreign ministers will discuss how to increase international pressure on Russia,” the official writes.
