The enemy’s target is again civilian infrastructure
Russian troops carried out a series of strikes on civilian facilities of Ukrnafta. As a result of the enemy attacks, production facilities were damaged, gas stations were destroyed, and one person was killed. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Facebook page of Ukrnafta and the statement of Director Bohdan Kukura. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
The enemy attacks lasted from Tuesday, July 2, to Sunday, July 5, 2026. The production facility and three gas stations of the state network, which provide fuel to frontline communities, were hit.
One person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the shelling. Significant destruction of buildings and damage to equipment was also recorded.
“Russia once again demonstrates that its targets are civilian infrastructure, including that which provides life for frontline communities,” the company emphasized.
Chronology of attacks by region
Russian troops used drones for strikes:
Sum region – on July 5, two jet UAVs targeted a production facility at one of the fields. A fire broke out, no people were injured, but the equipment was seriously damaged.
Dnipropetrovsk region – on July 3, a Shahed drone hit the entrance to a gas station. The power line was damaged, the staff and customers survived.
Mykolaiv region – on July 2, in the afternoon, a strike drone hit the canopy above the gas station’s fuel dispenser. One person was killed, two were injured (including an assistant operator). The building was destroyed, cars burned down.
Kharkiv region – on the night of July 2, three “Shaheeds” completely destroyed the building and ground equipment of another gas station. There were no casualties.
“We are restoring damaged facilities where possible to provide people with fuel where it is needed most, including in frontline areas,” said Bohdan Kukura.
Strikes on Naftogaz facilities
Let us recall that this is far from the first attempt by Russian troops to destroy Ukraine’s gas production infrastructure. In particular, earlier the Russians attacked the production facilities of the Naftogaz group in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions for two days in a row.
During those attacks, the enemy fired at least four ballistic missiles, including those with dangerous cluster warheads, as well as strike drones. Despite a series of powerful strikes, the worst-case scenario was avoided.
In addition, recently, Russian drones again targeted a gas production facility of Naftogaz in the Poltava region, causing a fire there. Then the company was forced to temporarily stop its work to assess the extent of the damage, and its employees awaited the attack in shelters.
