The starting price for the chemical plant is over 4.3 billion hryvnias
The State Property Fund of Ukraine has scheduled an electronic auction for the sale of a 99.5667% stake in the Odesa Port Plant JSC for October 19, 2026. The starting price of the lot is 4,308,275,796 hryvnias. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
The enterprise, located in the city of Yuzhne, specializes in the production of mineral fertilizers, particularly ammonia and urea. The production complex is equipped with its own logistics infrastructure and has convenient access to the seaport, which creates opportunities for increasing export volumes of products.
The plant holds rights to land plots with a total area of over 252 hectares, which allows for the expansion of capacities or the implementation of new investment projects. Currently, the company employs 1,135 specialists who maintain the operation of the chemical units.
Investment Potential and Privatization
According to representatives of the State Property Fund, attracting a strategic investor will allow for the modernization of outdated facilities, improvement of production efficiency, and strengthening of the position of the Ukrainian chemical industry in international markets. As part of the privatization procedure, it is expected that the new owner will ensure the further development of the asset.
All financial proceeds from the sale of the share package will be directed to the state budget. The funds received will be used in accordance with budget priorities to support the needs of the state, including the financing of defense measures.
