Ammunition detonation began in Bucha district following a Russian strike
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the consequences of a Russian strike on the village of Myla in the Bucha district. As a result of the hit, detonation of ammunition stored at a Defence Forces depot began. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of state emphasised that storing explosive materials in close proximity to residential areas is an unacceptable violation of safety protocols. According to the president, the explosions at the depot were the result of negligence by those responsible, which has already led to significant destruction.
Incident investigation
A similar situation was previously recorded in Vyshneve. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that law enforcement agencies, including the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the SBU, and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have received all necessary instructions to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident in Myla.
Impact on defence infrastructure
The impact zone experienced the detonation of shells, mines, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The president expressed his gratitude to the rescue workers, medics, and all specialists who are working promptly at the scene to provide assistance to the public and contain the consequences of the explosions.
