Residential buildings, warehouses and infrastructure facilities were damaged in the region
Over the past day, Russian troops shelled 25 settlements in the Kharkiv region, damaging civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. According to local authorities, there were no civilian casualties reported. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Oleh Syniehubov, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Kharkiv and two dozen other villages and towns across the region came under enemy fire. The invaders used a wide range of weaponry for the attacks, including guided aerial bombs, FPV drones, and dozens of unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles.
Extent of destruction in the region’s districts
In Kharkiv city itself, strikes resulted in damage to a multi-story apartment building and a freight vehicle. In the Bohodukhiv district, specifically in the settlement of Zolochiv, an emergency medical vehicle, a garage, private housing, and power grids were damaged. In the villages of Klynova-Novoselivka and Kalynove, private homes and outbuildings were hit.
The Izium district suffered significant damage, with a garage hit in Balakliia and three warehouse facilities damaged in Barvinkove, Nikopol, and Verbivka. In the Kharkiv district, shelling caused destruction of private houses, vehicles, and a commercial kiosk across several settlements, including Slatyne, Vysohyi, Kozacha Lopan, Tsyrkuny, Bezruky, and Shestakove.
Infrastructure facilities under fire
The Lozova district was also targeted, leading to damage at a civilian enterprise, railway infrastructure in Samiivka, and local power lines. In the Chuhuiv district, damage was reported to a private residence and motor vehicles in Khotimlia.
Alongside ongoing efforts to address the aftermath of the shelling, the evacuation of the local population continues. Over the past 24 hours, 264 people passed through the transit point in Lozova, bringing the total number of people who have used this route since the point began operations to over 57,500. Previous days saw lower intensity in strikes, although those resulted in significant civilian casualties.
