Participants from 11 countries formed trading activity on the platform
The supply of bulb onions on trading platforms in Ukraine and the region continues to grow, while tomatoes and cucumbers are becoming more expensive due to reduced sales volumes. Based on the results of the 40th week of 2026, Ukraine and Uzbekistan topped the ranking by the number of posted announcements in the EastFruit Trade Platform group. This was reported by EastFruit, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
An analysis of trading platforms for the 40th week of 2026 showed an increase in the total number of announcements thanks to the activity of users from Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Iran, Moldova and other states. Commodity supply from Egypt and Turkey decreased, while publications from Afghanistan appeared again. The top five leaders in the number of proposals were formed by Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Iran, Greece and Egypt.
Vegetable segment dynamics
Bulb onions maintain leadership in the number of announcements against the background of increasing sales volumes. In addition to potatoes, the supply of other components of the borsch set increased, while tomato sales halved. Market participants more often offered sweet peppers, Beijing cabbage and pumpkin, and also actively traded greens.
Price trends in Ukraine
Carrots continue to rise in price in Ukraine, and prices for bulb onions started to grow again after a short-term decline. Table beets also became more expensive, while the price range for potatoes widened. The reduction of commodity supply led to an increase in the cost of cucumbers and tomatoes. Beijing cabbage became cheaper against the background of active sales, and the cost of garlic increased.
Fruit category situation
Apple sales dominate the fruit segment, with volumes increasing again, partly due to offers from Afghanistan. Grapes and pears were offered more often, the number of persimmon sellers decreased, and plums completely left the list of popular goods. Apples in Ukraine became cheaper, pears rose in price, and prices for watermelons, melons and grapes increased.
Uzbekistan market and technologies
An increase in prices for tomatoes, cucumbers and peaches, as well as a rise in the price of black grape varieties, was recorded in Uzbekistan. Activity in the EastFruit Fruittechnology group was supported by an increased supply of fertilizers, plant protection products and packaging. Seedlings remain the best-selling product, alongside which greenhouse equipment and drip irrigation systems were promoted.
