Ukraine launches ‘eOpora’ portal to find energy support programs

The service enables businesses and households to secure financing for energy equipment

Ukraine has launched the 'eOpora' website, which aggregates state and regional energy independence programs. The platform assists businesses, communities, and private households in finding concessional financing options for energy equipment. This was reported by Delo.ua citing the Telegram channel of Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The resource was created to provide centralized access to information on current support mechanisms, participation requirements, and advice on energy resilience for the winter season. Users can utilize a filtering system by selecting their status, the desired type of assistance, and their location to view a list of available programs.

Access to concessional financing

A significant portion of the service’s functionality focuses on ensuring uninterrupted operations during power outages. Specifically, the platform hosts offers regarding financial instruments for purchasing batteries, generators, energy storage systems, and inverters.

Preparing for the winter period

In addition to financial matters, the portal contains practical instructions on actions to take in the event of electricity shortages. This includes tips on home insulation, alternative power sources, and the use of offline maps to locate the nearest ‘Punt nezlamnosti’ (Points of Invincibility).

The development and implementation of this platform are part of a strategy to prepare the power grid for winter operations. These measures are being implemented against the backdrop of ongoing attacks by the russian federation on Ukraine’s energy, thermal, and gas infrastructure.

As of early September, Ukrainian banking institutions had already directed 63.3 billion UAH toward energy projects. Funds were primarily attracted for the development of distributed generation and the modernization of energy supply systems.
