Ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance are on alert
On the night of October 9, Poland scrambled military aircraft due to Russian drone strikes targeting western regions of Ukraine. These measures are preventive to secure the country's airspace. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Едуард Ткач) citing Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The military department deployed on-duty forces following Russia’s massive air attack on the western part of Ukrainian territory. Fighter jets began operating in the neighboring state’s airspace in accordance with current security protocols.
Response Means and Air Defense
Specialized bodies mobilized available resources through the Air Operations Center. Simultaneously, ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance units were placed on high combat readiness.
The command emphasized that the taken measures are preventive in nature. They aim to guarantee safety and protect air borders in border areas.
Security Situation Monitoring
Relevant structures continue to continuously monitor the development of events. Subordinate forces remain fully prepared to immediately respond to any threats.
