Strikes on Russian assets are a necessary part of defense, not the cause of enemy aggression
Maria Berlinska, head of the Center for Aerial Reconnaissance Support, has urged against falling for enemy manipulation suggesting that Ukrainian Defense Forces' attacks on Russian oil refineries trigger escalation. She emphasized that the war aims for the total destruction of Ukrainians, meaning that ending resistance would only lead to catastrophic consequences. This was reported by Glavcom, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the expert, the claim that one should not “anger” the Russian leadership is an artificially created enemy narrative aimed at forcing Ukrainian society into capitulation. She reminded that Russian war crimes, particularly in Bucha and Mariupol, occurred long before Ukraine began systematically destroying the oil refining infrastructure of the Russian Federation.
Maria Berlinska noted that the war would end instantly if Moscow issued an order for its troops to withdraw, whereas Ukraine ceasing its resistance would mean the physical destruction of the nation. She called for rejecting imposed scenarios of appeasement and focusing on building an effective defense system.
Issues of defense manufacturing
Separately, the head of Victory Drones appealed to the military-political leadership of the state regarding the activities of the Luch Design Bureau. She stated that the enterprise possesses effective technologies for countering air threats but fails to scale them or provide the necessary documentation to other manufacturers.
Berlinska also warned about the escalation of drone terror by the Russian Federation. In her view, the enemy seeks to turn even deep-rear Ukrainian cities into combat zones by using cheap and scalable means of destruction.
The expert emphasized that despite the seriousness of the threat, the Ukrainian side still has time to prepare an effective response. She believes the primary task is to ignore Kremlin cognitive operations and continue the fight until victory.
