Parliament will consider an initiative simplifying military access to housing
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada an initiative that grants military personnel the right to register for housing directly at their place of service. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Current regulations created bureaucratic barriers for fighters, as most military units lack their own housing for personnel registration, and registering a place of residence at the unit’s deployment address was previously impossible.
Changing registration rules for fighters
The updated document completely eliminates this restriction for service members of the Armed Forces and other formations. The presence or absence of a residence registration stamp will no longer affect the ability to claim the right to receive housing.
Parliament must now review the government initiative in the established manner. If the law is adopted, the procedure will come into force throughout the country.
