PIT and the single tax account for the bulk of regional treasury revenues
Between January and September 2026, the local budgets of Kyiv region received 30.9 billion UAH. This figure is 6 billion UAH higher than during the same period last year. This was reported by Головне управління ДПС у Київській області, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
During the first nine months of 2026, revenues for local budgets in the Kyiv region grew by 23.9% compared to the same period in 2025. According to Oleksandr Dvirko, the primary drivers for filling these treasuries are personal income tax (PIT) and the single tax, which together form approximately 79% of all revenues.
The importance of PIT and single tax
The largest financial resource remains the PIT, which reached 19.6 billion UAH during the reporting period. This accounts for 63.5% of total income, representing a 27.7% increase over previous year’s data.
The single tax contributed 4.7 billion UAH to community budgets, providing 15.2% of revenues. Nearly 4 billion UAH of this sum was paid by individuals, with a total growth of 14% in this category.
Revenues from property taxes and excise duties
Property levies remain significant sources for funding local communities. For example, revenue from land fees reached 2.47 billion UAH, marking a 24.3% increase.
Real estate taxes added 1.16 billion UAH to local budgets, a rise of 23.8% compared to 2025. Additionally, the treasuries received 1.6 billion UAH in excise taxes, which is 14.3% more than in the previous year.
