A good level of atmospheric air quality was recorded in the capital as of morning
As of the morning of October 14, 2026, a good level of air quality remains in Kyiv following a massive missile strike. Meanwhile, the Russian attack has caused casualties and injuries in the capital, with emergency response operations ongoing in three districts. This was reported by Glavcom citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Monitoring stations do not record significant atmospheric pollution in the capital. Residents can use specialized online services to assess the environmental situation.
SaveEcoBot station indicators
The SaveEcoBot interactive platform shows the overall air quality index at 28 AQI as of 8:00 AM on October 14, 2026. These figures correspond to a good pollution level with a minimal impact on human health.
The lowest index was recorded in Darnytskyi District at 18 AQI. The highest, yet still good, pollution level was registered in Sviatoshynskyi District at 41 AQI.
Aqicn and LUN Misto AIR service data
The Aqicn map displays the air quality index in real time using a scale ranging from good to hazardous pollution levels. The LUN Misto AIR system measures the concentration of PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 particulate matter along with temperature and humidity.
Air humidity in Kyiv stands at 83 percent. Indicator fluctuations are possible throughout the day depending on weather conditions and on-site situations.
Recommendations in case of deterioration
If air quality indicators worsen, experts advise closing windows and doors to restrict the inflow of outdoor air. It is also recommended to avoid prolonged outdoor stays and physical exertion.
Children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular diseases should monitor their well-being closely. If an air purifier is available, it can be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
