The median remuneration in the delivery sector reached 35 thousand hryvnias
The logistics, warehousing, and delivery sector recorded an 11% year-on-year drop in job openings alongside rising jobseeker activity. However, employers increased offered wages, notably for long-haul truck drivers up to 66.3 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by Socportal citing OLX, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The market analysis covers job postings, candidate responses, and wage levels in September of the current year compared to the same period last year. The category includes specialists who ensure the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods.
Employers most frequently searched for drivers and loaders, followed by couriers and stockroom workers. Russian strikes on warehouse facilities and transport infrastructure affect the operations of logistics companies, forcing businesses to adapt.
Wage dynamics in the industry
Despite the decrease in employment offers, median salaries increased across all examined professions. The highest offered pay was recorded among long-haul truck drivers, where the figure grew by 20% to reach 66.3 thousand hryvnias.
Drivers are offered 42.5 thousand hryvnias, while the median courier salary stood at 35 thousand hryvnias. Loaders saw their pay rise by 18% to 29 thousand hryvnias, and dispatchers received the largest percentage increase at 25%.
Level of competition among jobseekers
In September, a single posting in logistics and delivery averaged five responses. Candidates reacted most actively to dispatcher vacancies, where one position received 12 responses.
The positions of driver and forwarder averaged six responses each, while courier and stockroom worker positions received four each. The number of responses per posting increased by approximately one to three depending on the profession.
Regional distribution of vacancies
Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts lead in the number of listings. At the same time, the highest median salaries in the industry are offered in Volyn and Lviv oblasts, where the figure reached 40 thousand hryvnias.
In Kyiv oblast, the median offered salary is 39 thousand hryvnias, which exceeds the national average. The change in market conditions indicates restructuring rather than an unambiguous reduction in the need for personnel.
