Czech companies strengthen cooperation with Ukraine within recovery projects

A large business mission chaired by Karel Havlicek is expected in November

Czech businesses are showing active interest in participating in Ukraine's recovery, despite the challenging security situation. Exports of goods and services from the Czech Republic to our country are consistently demonstrating a growth trend. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Tomas Kopecky, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

Special Representative of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic for Ukraine Tomas Kopecky emphasized that the partnership between Czech companies and Ukrainian businesses involves not only the supply of goods but also direct investments in recovery projects. Czech entrepreneurs continue to visit Ukraine on economic missions, despite the lack of expectations for an early ceasefire.

Missions and joint projects

Several visits by Czech business representatives have already taken place this year, including to Dnipro, where the construction of shelters was discussed. In October, a large-scale delegation from Ukraine, consisting of industrialists, researchers, and technology cluster representatives, worked at the MSV 2026 fair in Brno. A large delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Karel Havlicek is scheduled for November.

Priority economic sectors

Energy, infrastructure recovery, and agriculture have been chosen as the main areas for bilateral cooperation. Large players such as MND (Moravian Oil Mines), RSJ, Gentec, Agregat, Skoda Transportation, and Agromino are already active in these sectors. Interaction covers both work directly in Ukraine and the development of partnerships within the Czech Republic.

Financial support for cooperation

The Czech government is implementing mechanisms to support companies operating in the civilian sector, particularly through special guarantee programs and export insurance. According to Tomas Kopecky, the budget funds allocated to assist in Ukraine’s recovery have been increased, creating a foundation for deepening industrial contacts between the two nations.
