Citizens can submit an application for payments without visiting a service center via the portal
Citizens have the opportunity to arrange pension payments remotely using the electronic portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. To submit an application, one must pass identification and upload the necessary set of documents. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Олена Чупровська) citing Pension Fund of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The process of pension assignment requires prior electronic identification via a qualified electronic signature, BankID, or the Diia.Pidpys service. After logging into the personal account on the fund’s web portal, the user needs to select the relevant pension provision section and start forming the application.
Application submission steps and data verification
When filling out the questionnaire, it is important to specify the type of pension, contact information, and answer questions regarding work history and service period. The system will automatically determine the list of documents, the scanned copies of which must be attached to the electronic form before it is signed and sent.
According to the instructions of the Pension Fund of Ukraine dated August 31, 2026, the final set of documents depends on the applicant’s individual circumstances. These usually include a passport, tax identification number, labor book, salary certificates, and documents confirming periods of education or military service.
After the registration of the request, the user can track its status in the My Requests section. It is important to regularly check messages in the account in case the fund requests additional documentation, as the mere act of sending an application does not guarantee automatic payment assignment.
Calculation specifics and pension deferral
Before submitting documents, it is recommended to verify the insurance record data in the registers, as a lack of information may delay the process. It is permissible to exclude up to 60 months of low-salary service from the pension calculation, provided it does not exceed 10% of the total insurance record.
Citizens also have the right to postpone retirement in order to receive increased payment amounts. Each month of deferral provides a 0.5% bonus, with a maximum increase of 54% available after six years of waiting.
