The operator continues to provide services using backup facilities
Following a nocturnal ballistic missile attack by Russian forces, a Datagroup data center has been completely incapacitated. The telecom operator confirmed that client services remain operational through alternative backup sites. This was reported by Minfin, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the company, the facility’s physical infrastructure and technical equipment sustained critical damage. The operator’s press office officially stated that restoring the facility at its current location is impossible.
Despite the loss of core capacity, Datagroup emphasized that none of their employees were harmed during the strike. All client services have been promptly migrated to backup sites, ensuring service continuity remains intact.
It is worth noting that Mikhail Shelemba, CEO of the DVL telecom group, which includes Datagroup, Volia, and lifecell, had previously reported damage to Datagroup’s infrastructure following an enemy strike on September 25. At that time, the company’s specialists were assessing the damage and working to stabilize the system.
