It has become known what Ukrainians think about territorial concessions as the Kremlin’s main demand for ending the war. The data were shared by Oleksii Antypovych, head of the Rating Sociological Group. Prozoro.net.ua reports, as cited by PromPolitInform.
In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, the expert revealed an interesting geographical trend — the further west the survey is conducted, the higher the number of respondents who consider territorial concessions unacceptable.
According to Antypovych, this is linked to the fact that many people in western Ukraine do not experience the war directly and therefore are ready to continue fighting until victory, while residents in the east suffer daily and firsthand, making them more inclined toward compromises.
Overall, around 60% of respondents across Ukraine say they are ready to endure the hardships of the armed conflict rather than give up territory to Russia.
“No one wants or will recognize the occupied territories as Russian, especially not withdraw from areas currently held by Ukrainian forces,” the sociologist explained.
