Finland, Sweden, and Poland announced new support packages for Ukraine in the security and energy sectors, according to Novosti N and the PromPolitInform portal.
Finland will provide its 32nd military aid package worth €43 million. This includes Finnish-made equipment purchased under the Ministry of Defense program. In total, Finland has already provided €3.2 billion in defense aid to Ukraine. Defense Minister Antti Häkkanen emphasized that Finland will continue to supply equipment to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Sweden will provide 1 billion Swedish kronor to support Ukraine’s energy sector, including electricity generation and the restoration of damaged infrastructure. Of these funds, 600 million kronor will go to the Energy Support Fund, and 400 million to the UN Development Program.
Poland is preparing its 48th aid package worth 200 million zlotys, primarily armored vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the possible transfer of old MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine in exchange for Ukrainian counter-drone drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed Kyiv’s willingness to exchange the aircraft and noted that the country needs air defense missiles.
It was previously reported that children from internally displaced families in Ukraine are planned to receive 3,000 hryvnias per month.
