Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said that the enemy is trying to break through Ukrainian combat positions, but the counterattack assaults of the Defense Forces cause significant losses to the Russian Federation, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
“I visited a number of command posts of brigades and regiments participating in active hostilities in the Alexander direction and in the Gulyaypol area… The operational situation in this area remains difficult,” said Syrsky.
According to him, Russia conducts constant attacks, in particular with the use of weapons and military equipment, but without significant success.
“The soldiers of the Defense Forces hold certain boundaries and positions, disrupt the intentions of the enemy and inflict significant losses on him in manpower and equipment,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
Sirsky stressed that the Ukrainian army conducts effective counterattack assault actions using unmanned systems, artillery and electronic warfare.
“I heard the reports of the commanders on the implementation of the tasks, changes in the operational situation, proposals for further actions and ensuring the priority needs of our units. He gave the appropriate orders,” he added.
The Commander-in-Chief also emphasized that the priority for the military command is the liberation of territories, the preservation of the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and the maintenance of the combat capability of units and subunits.
