Out of more than 300 analyzed Air Force interceptor drone crews, 170 failed to shoot down a single russian attack UAV over a year of operation. Meanwhile, only 66 units managed to destroy more than ten such targets.

This was reported by Delo.ua, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

According to the published data, a separate inspection in one of the regions showed even lower efficiency figures. Specifically, out of 28 units in that region, 24 did not eliminate any enemy aircraft throughout the year.

Experience and coordination determine combat effectiveness

The low performance of most crews is primarily due to the fact that many of such groups were formed recently, noted Yuriy Ihnat, head of the Communications Department of the Air Force. According to him, newly established units are still gaining necessary practical experience, whereas veteran teams demonstrate high efficiency.

The obtained data indicate that the effectiveness of drone air defense relies not solely on the production volume of interceptors. Reliable sensors, high-quality communication, operator training, and clear coordination are required for stable destruction of air threats.
