308 people’s deputies voted in favor. The norm will be valid during martial law and a year after its completion.
The Verkhovna Rada during a meeting of the Parliament on March 25 adopted the law No. 13155 on the abolition or suspension of the accrual of utility bills for damaged or destroyed housing, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
308 people’s deputies voted in favor.
The law stipulates that payments for housing and communal services will not be charged if the housing is destroyed, significantly damaged or unsuitable for living due to hostilities. The norm will be valid during martial law and a year after its completion.
The explanatory materials of the document indicate that in Ukraine more than 3 million people have damaged or destroyed housing, and many of them were forced to leave their homes.
The law also introduces new rules for condominiums and management companies – they will be able to review contributions, exempt individual co-owners from payment and keep records of losses.
To take advantage of the privilege, you need to undergo an official survey of housing and receive an appropriate act – it will be the basis for canceling the charges.
Recall the Council of Europe will finance housing for thousands of Ukrainians – allocated 100 million euros for “eRecovery.” We are talking about the third stage of financing the HOME project, which provides for the issuance of housing certificates to people who have lost their homes so that they can purchase a new home.
