The mobile application of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has reached the 7 million user mark. Over the last year alone, the service's active client base has grown by 40%. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Ukrzaliznytsia.
The application, created in the first months of the full-scale invasion, has transformed from a tool for purchasing travel documents into a full-fledged platform. Passengers can book trips for others, transport pets, reserve luggage, track train schedules, and leave feedback after completing their journey.
High share of digital sales
Currently, 71% of all railway tickets are sold through the company’s digital channels. This achievement has become a record figure among state operators in Europe. Since the platform’s launch, a total of 67 million tickets for domestic and international routes have been purchased through it.
International recognition and new opportunities
In the spring of 2026, the innovation of the solution was confirmed with the Digital Innovation award during the Transport Ticketing Awards in London. In addition to updating the interface, the developers added the ability to purchase tickets for commuter trains, which have already been used by 1.5 million passengers.
Auto-booking system operation
The automatic ticket booking feature has become one of the most popular among users. The system independently monitors seat availability for a chosen route and purchases them immediately upon release. This year, this tool has helped passengers purchase over 400,000 travel documents.
Inclusivity of digital services
The company continues to work on adapting the service for people with reduced mobility. The application is fully adapted for use by visually impaired people and also allows passengers with disabilities to purchase tickets from special bookings online.
